Burge Alweaam Company for General Contracting Ltd (BACO) is an EPC Company since 1998 serving clients in the Oil and Gas industry throughout Iraq, BACO is a 100% Iraqi local company registered and actively working in the country and it has the advantage of experience and locality that adds extra value to its expertise in cultural customs and sensitivities when it comes to assisting its clients with local issues and communal relationships. BACO is headquartered in Basra, having comprehensive facilities (which include Management Office, Workshops, Camp & Warehouses) in North Rumaila – Basra, with an area more than 30,000 m². BACO prides itself on its new and existing pipeline facility construction, pipeline maintenance, pipeline fabrication, horizontal directional drilling, cathodic protection and blasting, coating and painting services to the Oil and Gas pipeline industry. BACO operates throughout Iraq and has experience and resources to operate on rugged and remote terrains. We have the capability and know-how to undertake tough assignments and meet clients’ deadlines. BACO facing challenging projects under the most critical environmental and logistical conditions in remote locations in Iraq, combining advanced methods and technologies.

Our services includes:

We are one of the Iraqi leading EPC companies in the Oil & Gas field services. We provide EPC
Projects to IOCs, including Engineering, Procurements, Construction, Structural & Civil Works,
Fabrication, Welding, Testing and Installation.

Pipeline projects are carried out by our company Burge Alweaam for General contracting, Which
includes external pipeline coating, insulation, bedding and lowering. Moreover, our company can provide supervision for pipeline projects.

Piping system is the most effective and commonly use way of carry fluids in the industry and represent the main system in any industry. The piping systems are the main responsible of the proper performance of the industry and the failure of any of piping system ́s components could generate a complete stop of the industry, damage on the piping system and connection equipments and even more important, lives lost.

We can design wellheads with high sustainability that can withstand a great deal of upward
pressure in addition to prevent leaking of oil or natural gas out of the well, and also prevents blow
outs caused by high pressure.

It consists of three components:

  • The casing head.
  • The tubing head.
  • The Christmas tree.

We use Hydrostatic Pressure Test (NDT Method) to find leaks or verifying performance and durability in pressure pipes. This type of testing usually entails filling the test piece with liquid, bleeding out air, pressurizing the piece, then examining it for leaks or permanent changes in shape.

Liquid and gaseous chemical and oil products are transshipped and stored in large containers that called Storage Tanks, we can construct and build high and consistent level of quality, also cost-savings in relation to the conventional production method.
